The Wisconsin No. 24 Sweeps DePaul

The No. 24 Wisconsin women’s tennis team (8-2) defeated DePaul (9-6) Sunday, Mar. 3, at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium. The team played till the clinch, adding a 4-0 win to their record.

Rosie Garcia Cross and Taylor Cataldi impressed out in their doubles match, overpowering their opponents 6-1. In a nail-biting set, Maria Sholokhova and Alina Mukhortova broke their opponent’s serve to crawl out of a 4-4 tie. The pair came out victors, winning 6-4 to secure the doubles point for the Badgers

On the singles court, Maria Sholokhova, Alina Mukhortova, and Taylor Cataldi performed great performances. Sholokhova was the first to finish winning her match with two 6-2 sets. Mukhortva followed behind with a 6-0, 6-3 conclusion. Finally, Cataldi sealed up the match for Wisconsin, gaining the fourth point with her triumph.
