A student at Wayne State Campus has gone missing.
In a release made on Saturday, officials from the university’s police department reported that Andrew Watkins was last seen on campus at approximately 5:30 on Monday, February 26. The 26-year-old’s relatives called officials three days later to report him missing.
When a police inquiry was unable to locate Watkins, administrators sent out a text and an email to the university community and put out an alert on Wayne State’s home page, but there are still no leads as to his whereabouts.
Watkins is 5’10” and weighs about 200 pounds. He lives at the Anthony Wayne Drive Apartments on campus and was last seen wearing a blue sweater, black jeans, and white sneakers.
Police authorities stated they are still hoping for the student’s safe return. Anyone with information is asked to call Wayne State Police at 313-577-2222.
